Mini sessions, mini milestones and christmas minis are not refundable
A session fee (where applicable) may be required to be paid at the time of booking to secure our time and services.
If using a gift certificate to book your portrait session, a deposit is required to secure your session. Your credit is redeemable on our “All Digitals” option only and is not reedeemable on single digital images.
A deposit (where applicable) towards photographic products may be required to be paid at the time of booking to secure our time and services. The deposit is refundable if you choose not to order any photographic products at the Design and Ordering session however the deposit may be forfeited under the cancellation policy below.
You may cancel a Portrait session for any reason with more than 7 days notice and the session fee or deposit will be refunded.
If you cancel a Portrait session within 7 days of the session, or fail to attend a session, you will forfeit any session fee or deposit paid and incur a $50 cancellation fee.
In the event we cancel, or fail to attend a Portrait session, for any reason, we will refund you any session fee / deposit paid.
You may request to change the time / date of session and transfer any session fee or deposit. We will try to accommodate all reasonable requests however if we cannot accommodate a time / date that suits you, you will forfeit any session fee or deposit paid.
Any reschedules within 7 days incur a $50 reschedule fee & a new session fee or a deposit must be paid.
In the event a client reschedules a session that requires significant set up/resources such as a cake smash, with short notice, the client will need to pay for a new cake.
The portrait session will start at the scheduled time. If the you are late, this time is deducted from your session and will finish at the time scheduled.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, the client will be considered a no show and we will cancel the session. The deposit is not refundable in this instance.
Any client who does not show up to their appointment without notice, will forefit any session fees paid. If client is using a voucher or credit, this will become null and void.
The client is liable for any damage to equipment and props caused by the client.
Taking Photos during your session
Taking your own photos at your portrait session is not permitted. If following a warning you or guests present continue to take photos, it will result in forefitting your session fee and any inclusions.
Under no circumstance will any form of bullying/harassment or intimidation be tolerated towards staff. If a staff member feels unsafe/harassed or intimidated that they have discretion to end the session immediately.
Payment for photographic products is to due at the conclusion of your Design and Ordering appointment. No photographic products will be delivered until all payments due have been paid in full. Unpaid accounts will incur late payment fees and collection costs. Accounts that are 28 days overdue may be referred to a debt collection agency for collection.
Laura Ridley Photography reserves the right to update our price and product offering without notice.
Vouchers / Credit / Offers
Vouchers, credit or offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other voucher, credit or offer. Vouchers, credit or offers are not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
All vouchers that have been won must be used within 3 months.
Only one voucher, credit or offer may be used per year per family.
Cancellation or failing to show for your portrait session, without notice, will result in you forfeiting any voucher, credit or offer.
Your vouchers, credit or offers will only be available to order at your first Design and Ordering appointment.
You will forfeit any vouchers, credit or offers you reschedule your Design and Ordering appointment with less than 48 hours notice.
All orders must be placed at the tome of the design and ordering appointment. If an order cannot be placed, a second design and ordering appointment will be required at the cost of $100.
Orders may not be changed or cancelled once they have been placed and paid for.
All orders are to be paid in full at your design and ordering appointment.
In the event that a client has agreed to purchase a package and then does not go through with the order, there will be a cancellation fee charged.
The cancellation fee is calculated on the basis of compensating Laura Ridley Photography for labour expended in processing the order and in the post production process. It also reimburses the company for any material utilised. Laura Ridley Photography will endevour to accurately calculate the cost incurred in each instance but for guidance, can advise the estimate average cost associated with cancelled orders to approximately 50% of the value of the order.
The cancellation fee may be deducted from the amount already paid by the client. If the amount already paid is insufficient to cover the cancellation fee, then the balance will be recovered from the customer.
Delivery of photographic products can take up to 8 weeks.
Copyright and Reproductions
The copyright in all photography remains our property however you will be granted a non–exclusive license to use any photography you have purchased. You agree to override section 21(3) of the Copyright Act 1994.
Where digital images of the photography are purchased, you are permitted reproduce, print and publish the photos. The License, and the right to use, the photography comes into effect from the date of full payment of the order.
Use of Photography by Laura Ridley Photography
We may use any photography we take to:
a) enter into photography competitions or awards and for their use in any material published in connection with promoting those competitions or awards
b) advertise or otherwise promote our business / photography
c) submit the photography for display at art galleries or other premises
d) use the photography for any other purpose within our business
We will not use your photography for the above purposes if you do not want us to however you must notify us of this prior to your session.
Failure to Perform
If in the unlikely event we cannot perform any agreed services due to any cause beyond our control including weather, illness, vehicle breakdown, camera or computer malfunction, data corruption, accidental deletion, we will refund any monies paid however shall have no further liability (except as provided for by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993).
Privacy and Personal Information
We abide by the Privacy Act 1993 and take all practical steps to achieve privacy protection. All electronic data (including photography) held by us is encrypted, password protected and only authorised persons have access.

We collect your personal information in order to:
provide photographic services
advertise and or promote our services
You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us.
Retention of Photography
We retain our photography in order provide a backup in case of loss, however we do not guarantee this service. We will have no liability if we are unable to retrieve digital photographs at any stage after fulfilling your order.
We will delete your photography within 7 days of receiving a request to do so. 48
